APEC Workshop on Effective Strategies for IPR Public Education
8-10 November 2006, Hong Kong, China

Together with the IP Office of Singapore (IPOS) and IP Australia, the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department (HKIPD) hosted a workshop for PE&A practitioners of IP Offices in November 2006.  A key focus of the workshop was to share information and practical experiences on development of IP PE&A strategies as well as how government and industry can work together to improve understanding of IP rights and protection.

Over 80 representatives from 17 APEC member economies as well as local and regional IP related organisations attended this APEC-funded workshop, held at the Regal Airport Hotel in Hong Kong, China.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for IP offices to learn and share experiences on planning and implementing IP public education and awareness programs in strategic and effective ways.
